Pakistan High Commission, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Community Welfare & Labour Section was established after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on October 20, 2003 between the Government of Pakistan and the Government of Malaysia for import of manpower from Pakistan.

This section became functional in July 2004 and under the over all policy guidelines of the Ministry of Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis, has been actively and intimately involved in the entire exercise of the import of Pakistani workers to Malaysia. The Mission closely monitors the arrival of workers and their adjustment with their respective employers in Malaysia. Besides attending to the clients needs on import of workers, this section also attends to community related matters such as extending assistance to detained Pakistanis, handling death cases of Pakistanis residing in Malaysia and patronizing / motivating the Pakistani community to forge cohesion and unity in their rank and file through frequent interaction by holding functions / events on significant occasions. The community recently has become more vibrant and proactive and regularly organizes social and cultural programs which are attended in large numbers by the community members.

Any feedback, suggestion, proposal aimed at the common good of the Pakistani Community in Malaysia is earnestly invited and shall highly be appreciated.
